The sun2rope solar PV structure consists of top-tier modules mounted on a high-performance technical rope. This rope is characterised by an extremely high breaking load and a very low weight. Unlike metal substructures the transport of this mounting solution requires minimal effort while maintaining the same level of security and stability. The ropes have a small diameter of 15.2 millimetres, which ensures a nice unobtrusive visual aspect. It is easy to erect the technology and the rapid deployment makes it ideal for more challenging environments and locations.
The core of the rope consists of a special UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene) braid and the coat is made of black UV resistant polyester braid. The long-lasting quality of the mounting system is guaranteed considering that in 20 years with a continuous load of 25 kilonewtons and permanent ambient temperature of 35 degrees the rope has a maximum expansion of 3 percent. Moreover, the sun2rope Solar PV structure is designed to resist wind speeds of up to 36 m / s, which makes it appropriate for a wide range of projects.
